De-sensitized receptors you mentioned. That makes sense to me too.
I'm usually pretty sensitive to most things. They say it is common with lymies and other mystery diseases. So I share your frustration and wish the journey was smoother.
I'm trying to get onto St Johns Wort right now, for a variety of reasons not really psychiatric, and it's taken 2 weeks of it daily just to have the lowest dose I could find become invisible - 150mg. Goal is 900mg and that will take me a couple or three months. The first time I went up to 300mg it felt bad, sort of like you said, and I had to back off. Second time was smoother and now 2 days into 300mg.
I sure wish your journey was smoother! You know, when ordinary healthy people face frustrations that's one thing. But when struggling people - like all of us here - face frustrations we're already in a weak state and it isn't fair!
