The study you linked to reaffirms some of what I've read elsewhere. The risk of TD may be somewhat lower with the "atypicals," but TD is still a very real risk with ongoing treatment.
It is what it is, I suppose. With the Orthomolecular on board, I tolerate the Abilify well, and I don't have TD at this point (always a good thing).
I do get concerned w/ people on Abilify for "off label" indications. My rudimentary understanding of the situation is that Abilify's partial agonism at D2 receptors results in a tranquilizer that can effectively control psychosis like Haldol, but with greater tolerability. Pile a bunch of other psych drugs in the mix, and one can lose the improved tolerability. something like that, anyway.
