I haven't heard of serotonin syndrome from the combination of serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

In theory, what you say makes sense. If the serotonin transporter is fully saturated, then Zoloft might begin to bind more to its secondary site (dopamine). Alternatively, clomipramine might also begin to bind more to it's secondary sites (norepinephrine, 5-ht2a, histamine etc).
