The problem with stimulants, including cocaine, is that they tend to be habituating. Many people then use higher and higher dosages more and more frequently to attain the same good feeling (aka high).
As a former addict, I have met many people in 12-step groups who were addicted to adderall or ritalin and some who graduated to snorting, then smoking, the shooting crystal meth. That's a feel good drug too. If you don't mind losing your teeth and destroying your health.
Opioids are also feel good drugs and most users become addicted and graduate to heroin and an early death.
