Its weird...stimulants have been around in psychiatry forever, and its still kind of hard to predict who will respond well, who won't, who'll turn psychotic, etc.
I'd lay off the amphetamine until you get a better idea of how effexor by itself treats you, and then maybe reintroduce it.
