I have been on parnate only 10 - 20 mg for a couple of months, I have cardiac issues, and it seems to raise my blood pressure instead of lowering it. I am 68 years old. I still supplement parnate with Klonapin for better or worse.
Have had serious back problems as well which limits my mobility and affects my mood in a big way, but just had some treatment in the USA at the Cleveland Clinic, maybe this will help. Doctor wants me on 30 mg of Parnate but I have to work out this strange blood pressure is. On Parnate most of the time since 82, !! the times I tried to stop or switch, always went into a depression. I also worry about generic parnate since its what Medicare will pay for. Who knows how similar it is to Glaxo Parnate which is like $3000 a month and anyway, medicare will only cover the generic. Generic is Made by Sunrise. Obvioiusly its still "parnate" but who knows what excipients they use. In the past it always gave me postural hypotension, at any dose, but no longer. Thanks for asking.
