I guess one could argue that the second trip would help in some way to build upon the CBT, both biologically and psychologically - a gestault of sorts. You might save a month by doing the CBT first, and then go hiking. You might find that the hiking, although it might be a very positive experience, is not necessary. CBT might be sufficient.
