Do feel better now! I'm on Lamictal and Clonazepam and a tiny dose of Haldol. And a starter pack of Belsomra. Will go to Ambien if this sucks.
We all know that mental illness is serious business. The disease is ruining lives from people afraid to get help or don't know they need it. Some people have bad, even deadly, experiences with drugs. Or bicycle wrecks, caught in a love triangle and all sorts of stuff.
Each person has to look at their unique situation. If their doctor will monitor them to try to stop meds, go for it. But be damn careful.
There's a good reason why intelligent people make the choice for meds. Most have seen both sides. When you can't sleep for 72 hours, you will take anything for it, etc.
My NMS was rare..both times. I guess I got lucky. But I still don't have regrets.
Here's some wise words from Rush.

On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet
