Hi Horse,
Maybe it's important to mention I insert this dose at night, about 30 mins before sleep.
Well I didn't actually 'know' it would aid depression/anxiety. I was looking for an alternative to Livial (Tibolone) which is used primarily by post-menopausal women against hot flashes and/or to enhance libido. But Livial gives me horrendous weight gain.
I choose the intervaginal route so that I could keep the dose low (less breakdown by liver) AND to target genital tissues directly. The permeable mucosa will absorb it quickly & deliver it into the bloodstream too - proving even this route will pass the blood brain barrier! (who would have thought?!).
To my surprise, I noticed the mood uplifting & sleep enhancing effect from the onset.
So I did a little research and discovered studies dating back to the 1940's about Pregnenolone's stress combating effect and it being beneficial in schizophrenics. But mainstream psychiatry has ignored this???
Last night I slept for 10 hours straight (!) on just half dose Quetiapine (25mg) and Dhea 5mg / Pregnenolone 10 mg. So far so good 
Kind regards,
Maria
