My experience was that it took 2 weeks to peak the withdrawal but I'm fairly med sensitive.
I used to not believe that Nefazodone withdrawal was that intense, but more experience trying to reduce it proved me wrong.
I had a love-hate relationship with it. I typically saw good benefits from it in the hours after I dosed (at night) but would sometimes experience worsened mood, anxiety, and irritability during the afternoons and early evenings. I was pretty sure this was due to the m-CPP metabolite over-powering the effects of the parent drug in my system.
You could try cross-tapering to a >low dose< of Vistaril or Mirtazapine if getting off cold turkey proves too much, as both of these drugs have over-lapping receptor affinity. My personal recommendation would be for Vistaril.
