It has a good evidence base from the early days, and its probably te most potent seretonin reuptake inhibitor, but in general, I dont think its any better than Zoloft or Lexapro (though everybody is different, some people will do better one one than the other)
My shrink loved paroxetine, but in Australia now, sertaline is by far the most commonly prescribed SSRI
