I've been on Depakote circa 1,500 mg for almost 20 years (minus two hellish years when I wasn't on anything). I'm also taking two anti-psychotics (Geodon 80 mg and Latuda 80 mg). The anti-psychotics are extremely powerful and helpful but without the Depakote my bi-polar disorder just can't be properly controlled. Might not be fashionable but that's OK by me.
