Saphris can be stimulating rather than sedating along with exerting antipsychotic and antidepressant effects. For depression, this can be a good thing. It is not unheard of, though, for certain antipsychotics to trigger mania. I imagine Zyprexa and Geodon are the most likely to do this.
It is very possible that your family is unaccustomed to seeing you with a healthy energy level. However, you should still familiarize yourself with these symptoms:
