In reply to Craving for sugar , I'm the only one?, posted by Vincent_QC on December 22, 2012, at 21:10:07
I've learned in my travels two things that cause sugar cravings. One, poor food choices....the person basically becomes addicted to the sugar, biologically. Second...Candida. Possibly other stealth infection. But especially a yeast infection such as candida, they feed on sugar, and even though their toxins don't feel good and feel much like depression or anxiety, the toxins have high affinity for opioid receptors. So addiction to that toxin occurs, despite the fact it doesn't feel good. More and more sugar is needed to feed the growing infection, since sugar is what they eat, and the cycle snowballs.
Poor food choices and candida go hand in hand, because one causes the other, and they both perpetuate each other.
I doubt the lab results of sugar related stuff is involved. Hypoglycemia, whatever....not enough to cause that kind of craving.
