I am on Geodon (amongst many other meds) as part of my Bipolar treatment plan. When I first went on it I lost some weight and had a big moodlift. That was at 40 mgs. We titrated up to 120 mgs and the paranoia that we are trying to treat in under control ....which is great because a whole host of antipsychotics weren't efficacious. I am allowed to take it however I want...as long as its 120 mg total. If I take it during the day I end up in bed...but if I take it first thing in the morning and / or before I go to bed I have lots of energy during the day. My question is..what have other peoples experience been with Geodon. Its effects are so different depending on time of day I take it and I am puzzled.
Also, I always take it with at least 500 calories, as recommended
Any input it good input. I would like to find a way of optimizing dose so I can maintain weight loss and mood, as well as best anti-psychotic effect.
