this is funny....i'm watching a show called taboo...a couple minutes ago they showed a severe case of OCD this guy would take long periods of doing things around the house and he had rituals and had to do senseless things because believed bad things would happen if didnt do these things. He went out to the trashcan to take the trash out....he opened and closed it litterly 5-6 times, then threw it in the trash...then digged it back out...did the same thing over....had to at least be 20min of this. Did the same thing with washing clothes, opened it, shut it over and over. He thought if he didnt do these tasks, bad events would happen...a little over obsessed with the law of cause and effect... But he waited tables and he was perfect in every given task he was given, like shined every task to feel that everything is done correctly. That's I think i symptoms of it...everything has to be perfect, and trying to achieve this through ritual and obessed stuff... .but I think the underlying thing is he did these things to avoid bad feelings, and also believing they would prevent bad stuff from happening.

but....yea, i guess...i do have some of it, but i don't do psychical things like repetaive things, its just in my thoughts and it drives me completly insane, usally i distract myself and think of funny dumb things i've done, or some random person I saw earler. It does work...sometimes. It's hard to get rid of it, the thoughts tried to use to stop it are connected to the ocd and it will make think over and over...like it spreads every thought like a virus. Nasty...

that's my 2 cents :)
