Based on my own experiences I think some of the atypicals can be very hard on your heart. We always hear about the metabolic side effects but something that affects your heart like this deserves attention. My doctor informed me of the QT interval thing with Geodon. On two seperate occasions I tried starting Seroquel but it made me feel like my heart was going to pop out of my chest. And when I regularly took Saphris before bed I would wake up the next morning with tachycardia. I can't believe I put up with it for several months, but when a med helps I guess you put up with all kinds of sides. Not trying to sound too negative about atypicals as I believe they can be the best in certain cases but I only use Saphris in an emergency now. herpills
