I've suffered from social phobia and what I believe is depression for a long time.
But sometimes I feel very anxious for no apparent reason, like I'm on edge all the time, can't sleep, can't eat, etc. It's like a nightmare.
When it first started a couple of years ago at age 19, I ended up in hospital because of the abdominal pain the anxiety caused and they monitored me for appendicitis, I didn't sleep for two days in the hospital, it was hellish.
Doesn't seem to match any DSM or ICD diagnosis that I can find. 1mg clonazepam or a few hundred milligrams of pregabalin completely alleviates it, hoping that the doctor will let me try tiagabine or carbamazepine too.
Does anyone else have any similar experiences of anxiety or any insight into my condition? Hopefully when I get to see the psychiatrist he will be able to give me a better diagnosis.
