Sorry to be graphic in response, but I think I know what might be going on. You mentioned the constipation issue. Sometimes, when stool is hard, it can cause anal fissures, which tend to bleed. If the blood is red, it's probably just a crack caused by hard stool. Not pleasant, I know, but nothing to be too worried about either. I've had it many times. Sorry for the graphic post.
