In some people, benzodiazepines - Xanax in particular - can produce a short-circuit in the brain known as "disinhibition". It looks very much like the anger and aggression seen with some people when they drink alcohol. Disinhibition can make it VERY difficult to resist acting on impulses. This includes episodes of rage and hypersexuality. One can become quite talkative in the beginning.
