The difference is the monocycline, minocycline, crosses the blood brain barrier and doxy and tetra do not so it's very unique in this property. Wouldn't be something to find out mental illness is really some sort of bacteria hence inflammation why motrin helped me. And felt the best ever when on biaxin xl for two years three months on and three months off for the lymes. When doc took me off that is also when taste & smell disappeared. I've always suspected the lymes cysts erupted and attacked the neurons in my nose as the time coincided. And it's 9 years now with outout the taste & smell. Gone forever per 4 docs and taste and smell hospital centers. Phillipa
