It just seems very unhelpful to have a psychopharmacologist who is not willing to make any medication changes. It would be very reasonable for him to increase the benzo dosage temporarily when you are under unusual stress. What about consulting the other pdoc you mentioned, or trying to find someone more helpful in a neighboring city?
