Lamdage22,
Are you out of the hospital now? Are you still taking the Zyprexa and Lamictal with your supplements? Although I think that supplements can be a good add-on to medications and that they can sometimes be of a lot of help for some conditions when medications don't seem to do the trick, I don't think that supplements stand up to medications when it comes to treating psychosis. So, while I hate to be too pushy, I would encourage you to stay on your antipsychotic if you're taking one or to get back one one if you're not taking one.
I do like the fact that you're trying to reconstruct your life. I am in the process of beginning to do just that myself now that I'm on a regimen of medications of supplements that's been helping for at least a short time. Reconstructing one's life is no easy task, especially when one isn't feeling quite 100 percent mentally. But I think that it's basically what recovering from a serious mental illness is all about. When we're in the depths of a severe mental illness, sometimes the best that we can do is just hang on to survive. And I don't think that there should be any shame in surviving for survival's sake when that's the best that we can do. But to me, truly recovering from mental illness means living, not simply surviving. Making the transition from surviving to living requires a lot of courage and a lot of hard work, and I think that one is most likely to achieve success with such a transition when one doesn't go it alone. So, if you're not already doing so, I would encourage you to utilize every mental health professional you can and to accept their help as you try to rebuild your life. It sounds like you've been through some incidents that can most certainly have an impact on your mental well being, and though I applaud your efforts to reconstruct your life in the wake of these incidents, there should be no shame in seeking the guidance of a therapist if you're not already doing so.
It is my hope that with whatever combination of treatments you choose to utilize that you achieve your goals of being fine and happy and of reconstructing your life. I wish you luck, and you have my support.
