hi all-
as i have mentioned a thousand times here i have been in my first major depression for the past 2 years. one of my biggest symptoms is lethargy and severe anhedonia.
i am going to get a full physical in the next few weeks. i just turned 50. bloodwork, ekg, my first colonoscopy, and whatever else i may need. i have very good insurance still, thank god.
i am curious as to what some of you would recommend that i have tested that may help in regards to my depression.
i found the following on another site and will ask my doc to check for these;
'I think if one has persistent anhedonia and other cognitive difficulties, one should get good tests for thyroid funcion:Free t3
Free t4
TSH, be suspious if its in the upper range or above 3
Thyroid antibodiesAlso check out your
Free testoserone, not just testosterone.'also, i have heard about testing for 'adrenal fatigue' though there seems to be not much info about this even being a real condition that can be tested for.
anyway, any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.
john
