Perfectionism can drive depression. It's a neurobiological thing. Even if you find a treatment regime that improves the depression, perfectionism can stress the system and cause medication breakthrough (relapse). Perfectionism does not go away overnight. It requires psychotherapeutic work. Just try not to be a perfectionist in your treatment of perfectionism!
