Cold turkeying off Effexor is not a good idea. You will get horrible withdrawal symptoms for quite a while and quite possibly have to restart it just to end the withdrawal. You need to taper off your use slowly to minimize symptoms and give yourself a chance to end use successfully. There are guides for tapering you can find here and elsewhere on the net. Be well.
C-PTSD: social phobia, major depression, dissociation.
Currently: 450mg amitriptyline single dose at night.
Also: Allegra, 1000mg Vitamin C.
Slowly improving.
