Perhaps. But there is a danger that the propranolol will mask the symptoms of starvation, including electrolytic imbalance and cardiac dysfunction.

Before: Eat = normal
During: Starve = abnormal
After: Eat = normal

I hope this simple association helps you come to your own conclusions.
