I don't know if its elavil, but I have read that one TCA (maybe more than one?) is sometimes compounded into a cream for allergies (or...something...I think I read allergies). I thought it was doxepin, but I could be wrong. Maybe a compounding pharmacy could hook you up with something special in your case?
Also, I hate to push my supplements on you (I do it to everybody, I know..), but there are supplements out there that help your liver deal with the crap it goes through. I think niacinamide is one (up to 3grams daily) and so is taurine (I have no idea how much you'd have to take for that to work). Since they both help psych issues anyway (niacinamide anxiety, taurine mood), it might be worth considering. They're also quite cheap.
