Insomnia is a potential side effect of all the MAOIs available in the US, AFAIK. I have had insomnia on all antidepressants I've ever tried, with the exception of Remeron which felt like a glorified Benadryl and did nothing for my depression....(some people seem to do really well on it, though!)

Fortunately, insomnia is something docs can treat with a *lot* of different things - trazodone, benzos, Z-drugs, melatonin, antihistamines...

I'm glad too! Today I had some nasty panicky social/general anxiety (complete with butterflies, a palpitation or two - don't you hate anxiety's effect on the peripheral NS?) and some depression today but I paused to remember that a month ago, just being outside by myself for more than a few minutes at a time would induce a panic attack, and I would have *no* relief. Wait, for more than a few minutes at a time? How about *at all*?

Baby steps.. baby steps. You hang in there too, I know you'll make it. Actually we all will!
