In reply to Bordom what is it?, posted by Phillipa on March 23, 2011, at 13:08:35
When I feel bored, it's usually not because I have nothing to do. It's because I can't focus on what I'm supposed to be doing, like work. So, I'm hoping the right ADD med will help me with this.
Boredom is in your mind. In theory, you should be able to muster an interest in whatever you happen to be doing, like you're supposed to be able to feel grateful for what you have, even if it's not much. I've never been able to force myself to feel grateful. I think all suffering is real, even if, by some measure, you have it better than someone else. A lifestyle free from abject poverty still has its own risks.
