I tried pregabalin, but I can't answer your question. Anxiety was not an issue with me at the time. If you find gabapentin helpful, that might be enough reason to give pregabalin a quick run. Like gabapentin, it can reduce amygdala activity via the inhibition of alpha2delta subunit of presynaptic voltage-gated calcium receptors. I seem to remember changes in temporal lobe activity as being another mechanism by which these drugs exert anxiolysis.
