My hypotension has been less of a problem lately but I am increasing my dose to the 12mg Emsam patch starting tomorrow so if it becomes an issue again I'll definitely suggest it to my pdoc. Thanks!

They are definatly safe with MAOI's, sometimes they are also being used to reduce the risk of getting a tyramine induced hypertensive crisis. That isnt an issue since you are on the EMSAM patch tough.
The hypotension by MAOI's is caused by a reduced noradrenaline content because they raise noscapine. A NRI counteracts that problem.
