My pdoc Leaving his Practice

Hi:
My pdoc. leaving his practice to take other psycho. job in other state.

He has been truly good at med. combo. for my Bipolar with rapid cycler during the prieod of more than 10 years. He recommended me to go to other pdoc. who is one of his colleagues.

One BIG concern is whether this, new pdoc. prescribes the exact same med. combo. Because, one of my friends who is also Bipolar said that when he changed pdoc., she rx'ed totally different med. combo., ignoring my Bipolar friend's plea to not change med. combo.

Then, I've been thinking whether I should go to my GP who is really good at med.rx including psycho. med. Because, I've been stabilized for the past 5-7 years and my need is a prescription for the exact same med combo.
