I didn't feel like there was an even/constant amount of seroquel in my system - I felt it kick in when I took it during the day, causing daytime sleepiness. In other words I felt "peaks" and "valleys". So since being on XR, I have no more daytime sedation, allowing me to function much better. So I think the benefits outweigh the side effect - I'm just concerned about whether or not the extreme thirst is a sign of something serious going on. None of my doctors seem to have an answer...
