Does anyone else experience EXTREME thirst after taking seroquel XR, but not during the day? My blood sugar and cholesterol have been tested and they are fine, and I am far from overweight, so my doctor doesn't suspect diabetes - which is the only condition so far that I have read about that is associated with thirst. I guess it's not the worst side effect, but I usually have to literally chug down 2 16.9 oz bottles of water within 30-45 min. of taking it, I have to drink so quickly I hardly have time to even take a breath, and I frequently get the same thing in the morning (and have to drink the same amount as the pm). But fine during the day. I can live with it, though it's annoying - I'm just concerned about whether or not it can be a sign of something more serious.
(I am on 400mg of seroquel xr)Oddly enough, I did not get this side effect AT ALL on the regular, immediate release form of seroquel...
(I'm thinking of asking my internist about the possibility of taking my blood sugar right before and right after taking it. Not sure what that would prove...)
Any advice/info/etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks!
