Phillipa - I didn't have R.A. until Parnate provoked my first episode (BAD ONE) years ago. I am desparate to feel better and nothing else worked for me so I tried Parnate again and think I'll be able to tolerate enough to take the deep fear and suicidal feelings away.
Maxie - One of my sons is a Practitiioner of Chinese Medicine, Herbs, Acupuncture. He has been on my case for years about my thyroid and my diet. Well, he was right. I do have Hash-- and he says 95+% of people who have it also have gluten intolerance if not full blown Celiac Disease. I have been so sick I decided to bite the bullet and go gluten free for the New Year. I'll also see what blood tests the "alternative health" people have. He thinks if I get my diet right I'll address most of my depression, my R.A. and my fatigue.
I am a sugar addict (also a recovering alcoholic which often goes together with the sugar thing). No, I'm not cutting out sugar...that would just be too much. Since my gentleman friend died sugar is the only pleasure I have left.
My son treats many people with thyroid disorders very successfully. I'm lucky to have him interested in my health. (I just don't much like him telling me what to do!). I'll keep you posted on how it goes and Babblemail me anytime.
