Parnate withdrawal - Feeling better

Posted by ColoradoSnowflake on January 3, 2010, at 19:03:33

Hi Everybody:

Thanks to all of you who have given me so much support and help while I've been so sick from this Parnate withdrawal!!

I'm finally feeling better!!!!

My rheumatoid arthritis (which I've had since the first time I tried Parnate 15 years ago!) got so bad I was a basket case. I quit eating for four or five days, drinking only lots of fresh lemon water and a little fruit/veg juice. This always works for me when I have a bad R.A. excerbation, and it has again. I'm afraid to eat now.

I'm now down to 50mg/day Parnate, down from 80mg/day. My plan is to SLOWLY lower it until my other symptoms have gone away. I'm much better now, but still have terribly itchy skin all over my body!! I'm still having chills. Other than that, I feel good. The Parnate is still doing it's great job. The dizziness and brain fog are gone.

I do believe I am allergic to Parnate and my liver and autoimmune system got overwhelmed.

I also believe I will be able to find a Parnate dosage that allows me the big benefits it has for me but isn't toxic for me.

Now that I know I have Hashimoto's thyroid I will go on the Celiac gluten free diet when I start eating again. I think that will probably add yet more to my feeling so good.

I'm still a happy camper to be on Parnate. It continues to make me feel better than I have for years, so I'll continue to find a way to have it be my main AD.

Thanks again everybody! You're a great bunch of guys!

xxoo

Current cocktail:
50mg Parnate
150-200mg Provigil
5-10mg Nortriptyline
