Thanks for reading,and yess lamictal does increase gaba,how INDIRECTLY.What this means is it attacks so to say the opsing enemy chemical of gaba which is glutame,by blocking it,theraby in time letting gaba increase.
Nueroprotective drugs,drugs that protect the brain are,
gaba increasing or protecing meds,and NMDA blocking meds.
Lamictal would be i am almost sure a nmda inhibitor.
This is of course the simpliest way of describing it,lol a bit more to it,but gaba meds can work by direct,and indirect actions.
