I was started at 40 mg percocet prior to hip surgery. That was increased to the 50-60 range because 40 was not doing the trick. Was at 50-60 for a couple of months. Rarely took 60, so 50 was more the two month dose. In the past two months after surgery stayed at 50 -60 for a couple of weeks and than began tapering down. Have been on 20 mg for a couple of weeks.
Have to complete the weaning rather quickly as I only have a few pills left. Will have to go to 1 pill and than 1/2 a pill in just several days.Do I ask the doc for more pills as the weaning will be quite abrupt at the end?
