Hi,
Sorry to hear about your problems and that ECT didn't work out :(
Parnate has to be bought at a chemist that imports (which is legal in India). Its expensive (3000Rs for 60 pills) Usual daily dose is 30mg so it can get expensive.
Where in India are you.
My doctor is is Mumbai and he is a huge fan of Parnate etc.
Let me know.
Take care

I am in India and suffering from Dysthymia, Social Anxiety, GAD, IBS for years. I have tried many drugs and have just finished a course of 6 Bilateral ECTs. It did not improve my symptoms but left me with terrible short term memory loss. You have mentioned Pernate. I have been told by all pdocs who have treatd me so far that neither Phenelzine nor Tranylcypromine are available in India. I want to know how you got Pernate in India and who prescribed it? Is there any Psychiatrist in India who prescribes Tranylcypromine or Phenelzine?
