When I stopped taking adderall, I slept 12 hours/day for a month or two. (I was 46 then.)Before stopping, I was taking 25-30mg/day 6 days/week (not on Sundays) for several years. I would sleep 14 hours on Sundays.
I stopped taking adderall for 9 months, back in 2007. When I resumed, I reduced my dosage to 10 mg/day 6 days a week. That low dosage works fine for my ADD-type problems. Also, adderall keeps me from having a sluggish brain, which is the main reason I take it. The 10mg dose solves my sluggish brain problem as well. I'm a research scientist and adderall keeps my brain working so I can do my job.
Also, at 10mg I don't sleep all day on Sundays like I used to. I think bigger doses disrupt my sleep, but 10mg does not.
Anyway, that's been my experience.
Best wishes,
Jim
