Hi,
that may sound like a stupid exaggerated question, 'cause I don't even know if parnate would help, but soon I'll begin my trial of parnate and I'm already very anxious about that it will help but poop out after 1-3years.. then I'd be left with nothing :(
Maybe I'll get a worse crisis in my life later (already had a much worse one ~8years ago) and I fear that I would have used up the mightiest tool I'd ever have by then :(
Still this now is a very critical time for me in my life (still no education, no job..) and I really need something very effective NOW, because I'm not able to function properly enough.
I'm afraid of meeting people, going to university, being at home whole day, ruminating thoughts of guilt + other obsessions and a general lack of energy + constant feelings of "physical fear" + being stressed by nothing.
This is disabling, but it could be even worse (as I already experienced when I had a major dep + my ocd was occupying 99% of my time/day for years)!
What do you think? When someone gets into remission/near remission using a MAOI and they stop the medication after about 1 year..
Is it likely that a MAOI would work again if, let's say, in about 2 years later they'd relapse and experience another episode?I quite often read -when doing a search on babble- that parnate and nardil poop out and that it never worked again. Is that true for the majority?
I also read about the "ssri carousel" quite often on the net: One ssri previously working poops out, you get switched to another one or even an agent of a different class and later when you switch back to the ssri you were taking initially it would work again.
Is this true with MAOIs too? Or is it only working the 1st time for the majority of people?
Thanks a lot for any info, very appreciated!!
