With Nardil, I begin to experience it at a dosage of 60mg, and there remains some risidual effects despite the passage of time. With Parnate, the dosage is 50mg, and it subsides a great deal over time.
Believe it or not, I don't think it is well understood why MAOIs produce hypotension. There may be some central inhibition of vasomotor centers, but I don't know the specifics. It doesn't appear to be due to peripheral NE alpha-1 blockade.
