Hi Scott,
Thanks for the positive comments :-) I'm not sure what would give me hope right now. The irony is that if I was taking something that was really working then I would probably feel hopeful but the fact that I'm still feeling mildly depressed makes me feel just generally hopeless.
My mum often asks me after I've been to see the psychiatrist "Are you happy now" and I say no, I won't feel happy until I'm taking something that actually works.
I might ask my private psychiatrist (I stress private because the one I've seen on the NHS has not helped me at all) if I can try a combination of a tricyclic and an MAOI, I've already tried lithium and lamictal separately and neither of them did very much. I've not tried abilify but I have a feeling, given my response to Zyprea that it would help me.
Thanks again for the encouraging words. I hope the positive experience you are having from the lithium will contine.
