I have not come across an explanation for it yet. It probably has something to do with an inhibitory feedback mechanism not allowing for an extended increase in brain activity along the affected pathways. Maybe the hypothalamus is involved. The thermostat refuses to be reset. For me, 3 days is all I get. It doesn't matter what the drug is or how long is the period of latency.
