Well said. Win or lose or anything inbetween, the meds do keep us moving forward. Anything is better than being stuck.
As a comment to the following quote from the previous post...

...I would just like to comment that what we need are not better drugs, but better diagnosis. I am a firm believer that underneath every depression is an identifiable pathology somewhere in the body that is impacting the brain. Our medical profession just isn't there. At one time, our scientists did not have what it takes to send a rocket to the moon. Someday doctors will know what to look for, how to look for it, and what to do about it. Many pioneers are already doing that. The medicines and plants and supplements we need to correct just about any dysfunction already exist on this planet. We just do not have the wisdom yet to identify what the actual illness is that needs to be addressed. All we see is the outward presentation of it, which is a cluster of symptoms given an umbrella name called depression.
The best we can do at this time of history is try various medicines that might help us have improved lives despite the unseen illness. And never stop exploring. Our meds give us hope.
