Bulldog2, How do you know this to be true?
"Unfortunately after your years on an ssri you more than likely have disrupted your dopamine system which in turn has has played havoc with healthy opiod production. Healthy opiod production relies on a healthy dopamine neuroendicine susbsystem. Some symtoms of a subpar opiod system would be thyroid problems, anxiety issues, and chronic aches and pains. You need to use hormones and or medications to try and rebalance your dopamine system. The smallest patch of emsam might help with dopamine rebalancing. In spite of dopamine rebalancing your opiod system may be permanently injured thru ssri insult and you would require permanent opiate supplementation (low dose ) to relieve your symptoms. "
