Michael,
Answering your question on Sinequan (doxepin). When I first took it, I was in extemely bad shape, and it did turn things around. I took it for years. It helps with anxiey, sleep and depression. Morning sedation can be a problem with it, that might be controlled by either raising or lowering the dose. It's been years since I took it, so I can't remember which, but a search of past posts would clue you in.
I forgot that Effexor was amazing for me, turning around a bad situation in a matter of a week or so. But it's an SSRI, with all the side-effects of SSRI's, the worst is sexual numbness for some people.
Let me know if you have further questions. Sorry that I can't remember more about the dosing of the doxepin. I think it can be as low as 25mg, or as high as 300mg./day
Effexor for me is 75mg 2x/day.
Hope this helps
~Neal
