In reply to ? for a CHEMIST/PHARM: med storage TEMPS matter?, posted by myco on February 13, 2009, at 0:47:50
Hi Myco,
I'm not a chemist, but no chemist has replied..so-just to tell you, in the US, the drug information that comes with the script always has a temp. ranged indicated for storage...and usually that generic statement-store in a cool, dark place..or something like that. I'm sure its written there for a reason.
I, too, thought heat affected my scripts before. I had Wellbutrin in my bedroom one time, which during some summers is over 115 degrees with no insulation/attic in my home (weird) or air conditioning.
Better yet, just call your pharmacy and speak to a pharmacist - and let us know what he/she says. :)
