I took Halcion combined with Ativan for quite awhile when I first tried Parnate and desipramine. The Halcion was absolutely the best drug to help me get to sleep, and the Ativan helped me stay asleep. Restoril worked well in this regard as well. I did not experience a rebound awakening when the Halcion wore off. When I used Halcion alone, I had to keep dosing myself throughout the night.
